Digital Technology Background

Before focusing on Python, data analysis and machine learning, I built a broad background in digital technology, web development, media editing and practical computer-based problem solving.

Over the years, I have worked with WordPress websites, SEO, Google Ads, image editing, video editing, audio editing, media restoration and digital content creation. I also created many smaller WordPress websites and used a wide range of digital tools for real projects, personal work and practical problem solving.

Although I am no longer positioning myself as a digital designer, this experience is still an important part of my technical background. It helped me develop a strong understanding of digital workflows, file handling, content structure, visual presentation, troubleshooting and working independently with different types of software.

Administrative and Workplace Experience

I also have several years of administrative and workplace experience, including working with documents, records, internal systems, stock-related information and structured processes.

This experience helped me develop accuracy, consistency, attention to detail and a practical understanding of how information is handled in a real working environment. These skills are highly relevant to data analysis, where clear structure, careful checking and reliable processes are important.

Long-Term Computer Experience

I have been using computers actively since 1996. Over that time, I have worked with many different types of software, digital tools and technical tasks.

This long-term experience means I am comfortable learning new systems, solving technical problems and understanding how different tools fit together. I enjoy working with computers not only as a user, but as someone who wants to understand how things work and how they can be improved.

How This Supports My Current Direction

My current focus is Python, data analysis and machine learning. My earlier digital and administrative experience supports this direction because it gives me a practical foundation in problem solving, structured thinking, technical learning and digital project work.

I am now combining this background with modern data skills, including Python programming, machine learning workflows, Excel-based analysis, GitHub documentation and future development in Power BI and SQL.

My background is not the main focus of this portfolio, but it explains the wider technical experience behind my current projects.
